Today's high should reach ninety-four, which is eight degrees above normal for this date. The warmth comes ahead of a front that will push into the area by evening, bringing a noticeably cooler airmass overnight. Lows tonight will drop to the upper sixties across the region.
Starting Thursday, highs will crash to the mid-eighties, then settle into the mid-eighties through the weekend. Overnight lows will fall to the low sixties, with upper forties possible in the North Georgia mountains. After months of above-normal heat, the pattern finally shifts to something closer to fall.
