Columbus has now strung together nine days at or above 90 degrees. That's on top of a year that has already seen 94 days reach 90 or higher, with 37 of those hitting 95 or above. The peak came in August when the thermometer touched 100.
Tonight and Tuesday will stay warm, with lows around 72 and highs near 94. Wednesday holds at 91. But Thursday marks the turn: the high drops to 85, and by Friday and Saturday you're looking at the mid-80s with lows in the low 60s. That's a real break from what we've been running.
The slight chance of showers continues through Wednesday, but nothing organized. Once the cooler air arrives Thursday, skies clear and stay that way through the weekend.
