Columbus is in the middle of a seven-day run of temperatures at 90 degrees or above, and the pattern looks set to continue through at least Tuesday. Today's high of 93 will be followed by highs of 94 on Monday and Tuesday before things ease slightly midweek.
This year has already seen 92 days at 90 or above—well above what's typical for the viewing area. We've also had 36 days that reached 95 or higher. The hottest day so far came back on August 17, when the mercury hit 100 degrees.
