Columbus has experienced 92 days at 90 degrees or above in 2026, with 36 of those reaching 95 or hotter.

The heat has been relentless. We've now strung together seven days at 90 degrees or above, and there's no break in sight just yet. Today will reach the low 90s, and Monday and Tuesday will both climb to 94 degrees before a slight dip mid-week.
This year has already seen 92 days at 90 or above, with 36 of those reaching 95 or hotter. The hottest day came back in August when we hit 100 degrees. While today's high of 93 will fall short of the record of 98 set on this date back in 2016, it's still well above the normal high of 86 for late September.
The good news: by Thursday, highs will drop into the mid 80s, finally giving us a genuine break from the heat.
