Columbus is in the middle of a seven-day run at 90 degrees or higher. Today should reach 93, Monday 94, and Tuesday another 94 before we finally dip below that threshold on Wednesday.
This year has already seen more than ninety days at 90 or above, with 36 of those hitting 95 or higher. Back in August, we topped out at 100 degrees. The record high for this date is 98, set in 2010, so today's forecast of 93 stays well clear of that mark.
The stretch won't last forever. By Thursday we're looking at 86, and Friday drops to 85 with mostly sunny skies. That'll feel noticeably cooler after a week in the low 90s.
